Alfindiki Speaks on Dumping Kwankwasiyya Movement

The Kano Central Coordinator of Gawuna/Garo 2023, Faizu Alfindiki, has aired his views on why he dumped the Kwankwasiyya movement.

Alfindiki commented on Tuesday in Kano when some youths from Zaitawa ward defected from the New Nigeria People’s Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

According to him, the Kwankwasiyya movement was built on “servitude and slavery.” He clarified how the movement’s ideology is incompatible with the maintenance and expansion of democracy in the nation.

Alfindiki, who doubles as the Chairman of Kano Municipal Council, said, “We were with Kwankwasiyya for years, rendered selfless services during the rain and sunshine, yet we have nothing to show for our sacrifices .”

He claims that during the past seven years, the APC, led by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, has mapped out a new course that benefits Kano and his people.

Speaking further, the Municipal Council boss said, “The evidence of first-grade performance by Dr. Ganduje is overwhelming on the streets and in our home as more individuals were empowered.”

He praised the defectors for their oversight and said that the Gawuna/Garo 2023 team was headed for success.

Muniru Yakasai, who helped other defectors join the APC, stated earlier in his remarks that they had been moved by Alfindiki’s approach to inclusive government in the Municipal Council.

He noted, “As it stands today, Gawuna is the most qualified to lead Kano because of his inherent ability to build on Ganduje’s legacy and take Kano to greater heights.”
