American singer Mariah Carey has been called out by her sister Alison, claiming that Mariah’s tell-all memoir caused her “immense emotional distress.”
Early last year, the singer released her book The Meaning Of Mariah Carey, which her sister Alison has come out to say that she fabricated the stories just to promote sales of her book.
Alison went on to say that Mariah, in “Dandelion Tea,” a chapter in her book, lied about her older brother Morgan physically abused her while she “Alison” threw boiling tea on her and her older sister drugging Valium when she was 12-year-old,
Well, Alison has filed complaints about Mariah Carey, suing her for $1.25million over ‘vicious, vindictive, despicable’ lies in her tell-all memoir.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Alison claimed she was publicly humiliated by Mariah’s book, saying she never gave her a chance to respond to all she has written in the book. She never presented “evidence to substantiate” the allegations.
Alison also stated that in November 2020, her 60-year-old brother morgan planned to sue Mariah for her false accusations.
Alison is now demanding $1.25 million for claims of;
“intentional infliction of immense emotional distress caused by defendant’s heartless, vicious, vindictive, despicable and totally unnecessary public humiliation of defendant’s already profoundly damaged older sister.”
She also stated that Mariah was aware that she was suffering from spine and digestive disorders and a traumatic brain injury, short term memory problems, and vision problems after being attacked in 2015 in an ‘unsolved home invasion. Yet she went ahead to publish such a book
