Another woman died from injuries sustained at Asake’s concert

Gabriella Hutchinson, a 23-year-old has been confirmed dead following the injuries she sustained in a stampede at Asake’s concert at Brixton Academy.

Gabrielle, was one of the contracted security providers at the concert. She was pronounced dead in the early hours of Monday, December 19, 2022.

Hutchinson became the second victim who lost her life in the incident, after Rebecca Ikumelo, aged 33 died on Saturday, December 17.

Chief Superintendent Colin Wingrove, policing commander for Lambeth and Southwark, said:

“It is devastating news that a second person has lost their life following the events on Thursday.

“I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to Gabrielle’s family at this unimaginably difficult time.”

A third woman aged 21 remains in the hospital fighting for her life.

According to the Metropolitan Police, all three ladies were in the foyer of the building in south London when they were gravely hurt in the crash.
