Ari Lennox Parts Ways with J. Cole’s Dreamville Records After a Decade
After a decade of hits, growth, and soulful music, Ari Lennox has officially parted ways with J. Cole’s Dreamville Records.
The Shea Butter Baby singer announced the news via Instagram on Tuesday, confirming that she’s no longer signed to the label that helped launch her into stardom.

“I’m no longer signed to Dreamville. I love my Dreamville family forever,” she wrote. “Thank you for believing in me and allowing me to share my heart and story.”
Ari’s departure seems to be on good terms, with no signs of drama or conflict. She made it clear she’s still grateful for the support and love she received throughout her time at the label. Dreamville hasn’t made an official statement yet, but fans and followers are already showering her with support and excitement for her next chapter.
Ari Lennox was the first female artist signed to Dreamville and became a standout voice in R&B with her smooth vocals and raw honesty. Her debut album Shea Butter Baby in 2019 put her on the map, followed by age/sex/location in 2022, which further cemented her as a force in the industry.
