Arsenal drops points in an entertaining encounter against Liverpool

Arsenal hoped to bag all three points against Liverpool and maintain an eight-point lead in the Premier League table. Still, Roberto Firmino tucked in a late equalizer to cap off the thrilling face and take down Arsenal’s point to six ahead of second place, Man City.

Gabriel Martinelli gave the host an early lead before Gabriel Jesus doubled the lead, but Mohamed Salah pulled one back for the hosts before the break.

All looked like Mikel Arterta’s men were going to leave Anfield victorious, as Salah missed a penalty, but in the 87th minute, Firmino drove home a leveler, crashing Arsenal’s hope of recording their first win at Liverpool since 2012.
