Arsenal lose top spot to Man City

Arsenal have dropped to second on the log, no thanks to a 3-1 defeat to Man City in their highly anticipated encounter at the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arterta’s men were looking to extend their lead at the top of the table but failed to measure up to Pep Guardiola’s side who left no stone unturned as they outclassed the Gunners.

The first half ended in a 1-1 draw, courtesy of Kevin de Bruyne’s opener and Bukayo Saka’s equalizer from the spot.

After the break, Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland both hit the target to send the reigning champions to the top of the table with, leveled on points with Arsenal, but with a superior goal difference.

The result also means Arsenal, who have a game in hand, have now lost all 11 games in their last 11 meetings against City in the league.
