Arsenal shares the spoils in six-goal thriller against relegation-threatened Southampton

Premier League table toppers, Arsenal, came from behind to grab a hard-fought draw against relegation-threatened Southampton, in a dramatic six-goal thriller at the Emirates.

The visitors got an early 28 seconds opening, thanks to Carlos Alcaraz, former Arsenal player, Theo Walcott, doubled the lead for the Saints, before Gabriel Martinelli got one back, heading into the break.ย 

After the break, Duje Caleta-Car extended Southampton’s lead to 3-1. And just went it seemed like the visitors had sealed the victory,ย Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka got Arsenal back and leveled in two minutes, crowning Arsenal’s relentless efforts throughout the game.ย 

The Gunners have now drawn three games in a row and are five points ahead of Man City who has two games in hand and plays Arsenal next week Wednesday.ย 

Southampton, on the other hand, is seated at the bottom of the table.ย
