Bad Boy Timz Files N200m Lawsuit Against His Former Record Label
Bad Boy Timz, through social media, announced the termination of his contract with the former record label, Anonymous Music, as well as finally react to allegations of fraud labelled against him by his former management.
Recall that there was a viral video of Bad Boy Timz in handcuffs, with reports that he was arrested because e allegedly defrauded his former record label.
Timz addressed the viral video and those alleged claims by posting on his Twitter and Instagram pages, a 3-page scanned copy displaying the lawsuit he filed against his former record label. According to Timz, the viral video where he appeared to be arrested was instigated by his former label, to have the police unlawfully arrest him and capture a video of the event.
In the lawsuit shared on his Twitter page, Timz stated that he only exercised his right to terminate his recording and performance contract with Anonymous Music because of a breach of contract and the viral video which Anonymous Music has allegedly apologized for in private, is libelous.
Bad Boy Timz and his team have since demanded an apology from Temple Egemasi and Precious Egemasi, directors of Anonymous Music. They also demand that the apology be published in three newspapers alongside payment of NGN200 million for the alleged libelous video published on Instablog9ja.
It was stated that failure to meet any of those terms will result in a NGN900 million libel suit against the aforementioned directors of Anonymous Music and their company itself.
BadboyTimz had also put up a press release stating that he had terminated any existing contract between himself and the record label. Therefore, any release coming from the record label should be ignored.
