Barcelona seals La Liga title with win over Espanyol
A 4-2 win over City rivals Espanyol handed Barcelona their first La Liga title since 2019 and their 27th overall.
This is Xavi’s first title since he was appointed Barcelona manager in November 2021 and having won the La Liga 8 times as a Barca player, this feat all but further cements his legend status.
Barce has won the league with four games to go and a comfortable 14 points ahead of close rivals, Real Madrid.
