Bayern Munich wins Fifa Club World Cup.

Another final, another trophy for Bayern!!!

Bayern Munich defeated Tigres 1-0 to win the Fifa Club World Cup final in Qatar, their sixth trophy in nine months, and cement their place as the best team in the world at the moment.

It’s been an incredible year for the German Champions, who won the Uefa Super Cup, German Super Cup, and are now world champions, to complete a clean sweep of trophies after last season’s Treble.

The Club World Cup was initially scheduled for December but delayed due to COVID-19.

Bayern Munich wasn’t quite at their best, but they had the most chances and could have won with more goals but for offsides and missed opportunities.

Even the eventual Benjamin Pavard’s goal was initially ruled out for a Robert Lewandowski offside but given after VAR consultation.

Some first team members weren’t available for the game due to Covid-19 and personal issues 1

Former Bayern coach Pep Guardiola jumped in on the celebration by sending a congratulatory message to the Bavarians

Bayern is only the second club to achieve the 6 out of 6 feats, after Barcelona.

It will be entirely out of place not to give Hansi Flick his due appreciation. Since the German took over in November 2019, Bayern has won 58 out of 68 games – and lifted a trophy every 11.3 plays, absolutely terrific!

This is the eighth year in a row that a European club won the Fifa Club World Cup, including Liverpool last season.

Tigres of Mexico were the first team from North or Central America to reach the final but could not end European and South American teams’ dominance in the tournament.
