BBN Ike Denies shading Mercy Eke, clarifies his statement

Ike Onyema has denied that his post in which he called himself “a fool for trying to make a hoe a wife” was a shade and neither was it directed at anyone.

The reality star, who dated co-star Mercy Eke in the Big Brother Naija house, earlier took to TikTok to share a video where he referred to himself as a “big fool” accompanied by the caption, “When I remember how I tried to change a ho3 into a housewife.”

Although no name was mentioned, Netizens were quick to conclude that he was shading his ex, Mercy Lambo, as she is fondly called.

Responding to the speculations, Ike made some serious clarifications;

“Hey

I usually won’t say anything regarding assumptions and speculations around my post, but I think it’s high time I address this issue, especially if someone I respect and care for is being mentioned knowing fully well she’s going through a loss.

My post/tiktok was not in anyway to shade anyone. She was a part of my journey.

We’ve both moved on and are happy.

Moving forward I hope my post do not seem like a subliminal shade.

Thank you”, he said.
