BBNaija S9: Topher nominates himself for possible eviction, see other nominations
Big Brother had introduced a twist, requiring housemates to write down two nominees on a sheet of paper and publicly announce them.
Usually, housemates are invited into the diary room to nominate their fellow housemates for possible eviction for the following week.
Unaware of the instructions, Topher nominated himself, leading to his name being added to the list for next Sunday’s eviction.
Ultimately, housemates that are up for Sunday’s eviction include Ben, Chizoba, Kassia, Kellyrae, Ozee, Shaun, Sooj, Topher and Victoria.
Big Brother Naija housemate Victoria humorously reacted to Topher‘s self-nomination mishap, playfully suggesting that he must have thought the nomination process was a game of truth or dare.
During a chat with Kellyrae, Kassia, and Ocee, Victoria jokingly commented that Topher must have thought Big Brother was playing truth or dare, believing Biggie was asking for their least favourite housemate.
Ocee added that Topher could have avoided being up for possible eviction if he had written two names instead of one.
In a newly released video, Topher is seen in tears while his girlfriend, Anita, tries to console him. She reassured him, suggesting he felt upset rather than disappointed, as the self-nomination was clearly a mistake.

Meanwhile, every Monday in the Big Brother Naija house, housemates compete for the highly sought-after Head of House (HoH) title under the new rules introduced by Biggie.
In this week’s challenge, Tjay, formerly part of the Beta pair, emerged victorious, claiming the HoH title for the “No Loose Guard” season. He follows Onyeka, who was the first solo Head of House since the unpairing.
With an impressive time of three minutes and six seconds, Tjay outpaced his fellow housemates and secured his position for another week of safety in the house.
