BBNaija Star, Laycon and Erica Reconcile after years of Beef
Big Brother Naija stars of Season 6, Laycon and Erica has decided to bury the hatchet of their long-time beef, weeks after the BBNaija Reunion ended.
Recall that Erica and Laycon started off as close buddies during the BBNaija lockdown edition. Along the line, they had a fallout and had since become enemies. Erica Nlewedim even got disqualified after she verbally abused Laycon and some other nasty things she said and did. The enmity spread to their fans, Elites (Erica’s fans) and Icons (Laycon’s fans), who use every opportunity to engage in verbal wars on social media.
However, BBNaija Reunion show was hosted with the aim of bringing the housemates together so they can talk and ease the tension which they created while in the house. We can’t say that the Reunion show carried out the motive for which it was organised but to some extent, it helped patched things up.
A recent video shared on Instagram showed the moment Laycon and Erica bumped into each other, exchanged pleasantries and finally put an end to their squabble. In the video, they were acting all friendly and Erica, who shared it on her story attached the caption, “#WeAreGood”, showing fans that whatever issue they had has been resolved.
Laycon also posted the video on his instastory where he clearly stated that they’re now friends and it’s all love and light going forward.
Looks like their reconciliation did not sit well with Elites and Icons as they still went to social media to bash themselves, with some stressing that the reconciliation wasn’t necessary. Some linked their beef to that of Tacha and Mercy, praising them for holding down their beef for two years. Others commended Erica and Laycon’s maturity, saying that one can only move forward if they forgive.

@Tee_Classiquem1, wrote, “Imagine fighting all your destiny helpers on Twitter because of Laycon and Erica only for them to squash their beef and settle a day to the new season of #BBNaija. I hope you all will eventually understand this BBN thingy is just a show and stop inheriting unnecessary enemies”.
Another tweet, @_Asiwajularry, said, “Planned BBNaija script or not, Laycon and Erica will eventually get along. Only those that have blocked and cursed each other’s parents on the issue will feel pained to see it happen.”
“Those of you that blocked each other because of Erica and Laycon, will you unblock now or you still want to build that house?,” @Smithie___ asked.
@favorgrace19 wrote, “I am Laycon stan and I support him and Erica reconciling. Nothing bad in settling their differences, that doesn’t mean they will be buddies but cordial with each other”.
Celebrity Stylist, Timi however reproached those criticizing Laycon and Erica’s reconciliation. She said she read the irrevocable comments made by some people who blamed the reality stars’ inability to hold down their beef and opined that we can only move forward when we let go of the past.

Then I head to the comment section only to see some fans saying “they couldn’t keep the beef and praising Tacha X Mercy for holding down their beef for 2years. I’m like Wow, most stupid mentality ever. Worship your celebrity over something wrong is totally appalling.
When we refuse to let go of the past, I holds us back and prevents us from living in the moment. Let’s stop applauding the wrong things”.
