BBNaija Star, Mercy Eke Lays her Father to rest

Big Brother Naija season 4 winner, Mercy Eke couldn’t control her emotions as she laid her father to rest today, April 27.

The reality TV star’s father, Akwudike Eke, who died aged 70, put her in disarray.

Announcing the demise of her father, Mercy wrote, “I’m so devastated at the demise of my daddy. God I don’t want to believe this is happening to me right now”.

But to the glory of God he has finally been laid to join the angels. Eke took to her Instagram and Snapchat stories to share clips from the ceremony.

From some of the videos making the rounds online of Mercy surrounded by family and well-wishers in Owerri as they tried to give her father a befitting burial.

In another video, Mercy and other family members were seen holding photo frames of the late patriarch as they walked around the vicinity. 

At a point during the event, Mercy appeared to break down and shed tears, and Nigerians on social media have sympathised with her;
