BBNaija6: How housemates reacted to HOH, Maria’s fake eviction
The fourth week of the Big Brother Naija season six reality show experienced a different twist as Maria and Biggie plotted the fake eviction of some housemates.
Recall that Biggie gave the week’s Head Of House Maria a task to prank the Housemates. Big Brother revealed to Maria that there will be no nominations, public voting, or evictions this week Sunday and she was asked to keep this a secret. Adding to the ploy, Maria was asked to convince the Housemates that Biggie had scrapped the week’s nominations and given her absolute power to nominate six housemates who least impress her for the week, out of which two will be evicted.
A few hours to the live show, Maria named JMK, Yousef, Pere, Angel, Jaypaul and Emmanuel as the housemates in her least favourite six. Maria’s announcement left the entire house tense with the nominated six sent off to pack their bags in preparation for the show.
Saskay who is close to Jaypaul could not hold back her tears as Jaypaul consoled her in the garden, assuring her that it would be alright and luckily he will survive the eviction.
“It will be alright, luckily I’ll get to stay in the house”, Jaypaul consoled Saskay.
Well, the long awaited time finally came and Ebuka asked Maria to name her nominated six, followed with an instruction to name two out of the six for eviction. Maria finally named Yousef and JMK for eviction.
The host with the most, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu looked undeniable good, as always, as he successfully put the fake nominated Housemates, JMK and Yousef out of their dilemma. The look on their faces were priceless and other housemates who were surprised and shocked that the eviction was fake, eventually expressed happiness and hugged each other.
After the fake live eviction, there was a live performance from superstar singer AV, who performed his hit single “Big Thug Boys”. There was also a quick video of KayVee‘s journey in the #BBNaija house.
Ebuka wrapped up the show on a note of warning to the housemates about their incessant talk of previous episodes and the reunion show for their season.
After the show, Maria cleared the air on why she nominated JMK for eviction.
“…it wasn’t really personal. Some of those guys that stood up, I’m actually really really close to them. And obviously, you came in newly as well, I don’t really know you,” Maria said.
JMK on the other hand added, “I was expecting it. I’m not gonna lie to you. Being the newest person in the house, I don’t even blame you. It’s this week I actually got my ground. It’s this week I actually started getting close to people and taking my tasks seriously.”
