BBNaija6: Mixed Reactions Trails Maria’s Eviction from the House

The internet has been buzzing and steaming with reactions since Maria got evicted from the Big Brother Naija reality TV show.

Maria Chike Benjamin who many thought would go far in the show, after successfully carrying out all the tasks given by Biggie, was evicted alongside Sammy and JMK, after getting the third-lowest votes.

Maria was first revealed as a wild card in the Big Brother Naija house and next, she was given a task by Biggie while she was the Head of House, to pretend that there will be an eviction show in which she will nominate her least favourite persons for eviction. This which she successfully carried out, only for her to be evicted after a very suspenseful twist.

Her eviction triggered reactions from Netizens who said the production team used her, milked her for entertainment, controversy and to lighten up their boring show only for them to toss her aside much later.

Uti Nwachukwu joined in the conversation as he opined that Maria was milked dry by the organisers of the show even though she played her part well as a wild card (fake housemate) and also did well with the secret task assigned to her by Biggie. He said Maria should have been given immunity reward for a job well done, instead, she was denied that opportunity and ultimately evicted from the show.

He tweeted, “This babe was milked dry! Made a wild card! The only week she was HOH she couldn’t do anything with it! She executed the secret task perfectly! No immunity reward! Before nominations, she was punished heavily and the HOH was told they couldn’t save her! And now she’s out, SHOCKER”.

Among the reactions was Toke Makinwa who credited Maria’s fanbase for their efforts at trying to save her from BBNaija eviction. In her words;

“Maria’s fan base tried, it’s unfortunate that it was a triple eviction night plus the game is getting closer and closer. The house has to be decongested. Maria played her game well, she gave us talking points and she’ll do well. No body loses, the platform has been given”.
