According to Skepta, he has always known Wizkid is a superstar, which is why he has always supported him.
Recall how Skepta was instrumental in influencing Drake to remix Wizkid’s blockbuster tune “Ojuelegba” in 2016, a move that solidified Wizkid’s introduction to the western world.
Wizkid had also explained why he and th British Rapper, Skepta make good music in every collaboration. Wizkid said that he and Skepta connect in deeper levels beyond Music some of which are that they are both from Lagos, they are also fathers and young men hustling in the Music Industry.
In his words;
“Me and Skepta, I think why the music comes out so solid like that is because we have a great relationship outside music. I think we have a relationship as young brothers in this game just hustling to take it out to the World and beyond.
We are fathers, so we connect in many ways but we from Lagos. Every time he comes to Lagos, we are together. It’s a different kind of relationship, so what we get on a record is bound to always”
The two artists collaborated on Skepta’s 2018 song, “Bad Energy”, 2019 “Glow in the Dark”, then on Wizkid’s “Longtime” from his “Made In Lagos”.
