Belgium crash out of World Cup

Belgium have crashed out of the World Cup at the group stage, after finishing third in Group F with four points, following a goalless draw with Croatia in their last game of the group stage.

Roberto Martinez’s side, who finished third in the last World Cup Russia four years ago and are ranked second in the world, had a rather disappointing tournament with just one win and one goal in their three matches.

They needed a win against Croatia to secure qualification, but failed to get the needed victory, as Romelu Lukaku missed lots of chances to help his country qualify.

Meanwhile, Morocco held on to a 2-1 win over Canada, to finish top of the group and quality for the last 16 of the tournament for the first time since 1986,  alongside second place Croatia.
