Benzema strikes thrice as Madrid knocks Barcelona out of Copa del Rey
Real Madrid brought their A game and left no stone unturned as they outclassed and knocked Barcelona out of the Copa del Rey with a 4-0 (4-1 aggregate) victory in the return leg of the semi-finals.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men had gone into the game trailing Barcelona 1-0, from the first leg, but Vinicius Jr brought Madrid on leveled terms in the first half.
Frenchman, Karim Benzema, was the star of the moment, as he scored a record second-half hat trick, to become the first Real Madrid player with a hat trick at Camp Nou since Ferenc Puskás in 1963.
Madrid will take on Osasuna in the final on May 6, 2023.
