Benzema wins converted UEFA Men’s Player of the year award
Following an exceptional season that saw him win the Spanish La Liga, the UEFA champions league, and the UEFA Nations League with France, Real Madrid forward, Karim Benzema has been named 2021/22 UEFA Men’s Player of the Year.
The 35 year old powerhouse saw off competition from his team mate at the club level and Spanish international, Thibaut Courtois and Manchester City and Belgium midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne to take home to prestigious award.
Big Benz didn’t just win trophies with his team last season, he also took home some personal awards, including Champions League player of the season as well as finishing as the top scorer in the la Liga with 27 goals.
Real Madrid coach, Carlos Ancelotti, deservedly won the UEFA Men’s Coach of the year.
