BNXN to be Sanctioned for Assaulting a Police Officer

Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, Ben Hundeyin, has stated that singer Daniel Benson, professionally known as BNXN, will face sanctions for assaulting and spitting on a police officer during a confrontation.

A  video making rounds on Twitter showed the singer in an altercation with members of the Nigerian Police Force.

BNXN confirmed the reports in his now-deleted tweet where he explained his side of events. According to him, he let a police officer in his car but the personnel proceeded to tear his shirt and slap him.

“I just spat in a police officer and it felt so good”, Buju tweeted.

Reacting, Lagos police command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the police officers involved will be sanctioned for their misbehavior.

He, however, stated that if Buju is guilty on the other hand, he will answer for assaulting an officer.

“@BNXN proudly tweeted that he ‘spat in [sic] a police officer’s face and it felt so good.’

“He has since deleted the tweet. The police officers will be sanctioned for their misbehavior if established, while Buju ‘BNXN’ will surely answer for his assault on a police officer”, Hundeyin on Twitter.
