Bobby Shmurda Jets Home In Grand Style After Being Released From Prison.
The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision has confirmed the release of American rapper, Ackquille Pollard popularly known as Bobby Shmurda from prison, after seven years of serving time.
The rapper was arrested and sentenced to prison in October 2016 after he pleads guilty to conspiracy and weapons possession connected with what prosecutors said was his leading role in the GS9 gang, an offshoot of the Crips, in the East Flatbush neighbourhood of Brooklyn.
The 26 years old rapper was released today, February 23, after being denied parole in September 2020, due to the disciplinary actions taken against him while he was incarcerated, and was ordered to serve his maximum sentence, to December 11, 2021.
Well, after a review by the Department of Corrections, Shmurda’s credit for good institutional behaviour was restored, which made him eligible for conditional release today, February 23, barring any further incidents, with the remainder of his sentence to be served on parole.
According to a statement released by the NYS DOCCS early hours of today. The statement reads;
“Ackquille Pollard was conditionally released from Clinton Correctional Facility. Mr Pollard will be under community supervision in Kings County until he completes his sentence on February 23, 2026.”
Before his release, Bobby Shmurda shared a message with his fans on Instagram, he wrote;
“Thank you for remaining loyal and for riding this six-year sentence out with me.
“I love you all, and I look forward to seeing you soon.”
According to Leslie Pollard, bobby’s mother, she told TMZ a few days before his release that her son “bobby” will first have family time before hitting back to making music.
Few hours after bobby’s released, a video of him and his mother in a private jet surface online as they celebrated his release. The private jet was also filled with lots of women.
