BREAKING NEWS: Davido and Chioma’s Son, Ifeanyi Adeleke is Dead

Ifeanyi Adeleke, the three-year-old son of Popular Music Star, Davido Adeleke and his fiancée Chioma Rowland, is dead.

The tragic death occurred on Monday, October 31.

The three-year-old drowned in a private swimming pool at the family’s residence in Lagos, according to a family source who informed Peoples Gazette.

A distraught and inconsolable Davido was removed from Evercare Hospital where Ifeanyi was pronounced dead on arrival, and taken to his father’s house where he remains presently.

“The boy was inside water for too long and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital,” the family source said under anonymity to await an official statement. “By the time they rushed him to Lagoon Hospital it was already too late.”

Another source close to the family said Davido was travelling in the United States when the incident happened.  Chioma was believed to have travelled to Ibadan and left the child with a female domestic assistant. 

Ifeanyi Adekeke was born on October 20, 2019, by Davido’s girlfriend Chioma Rowland.

Chioma and Davido had on October 20th celebrated Ifeanyi’s 3rd birthday, not knowing it will be his last.

Following the news of Ifeanyi’s death, some popular celebrities to mourn the death of the beloved.

Popular comedian, Ayo Makun wrote, “The death of a child is unnatural, unfair, and tragic, this hit me so bad.”

Nollywood Actress, Eniola Badmus, in a now deleted post on Instagram shared a broken heart emoji with the caption, ‘God why’

Daddy Freeze, who went live on Instagram in the early hours of Tuesday morning said, “When the person you love is someone involved it becomes a heavy emotional burden. I am not confirming anything but bear with me I will not be live tonight.” He later shared an all black page with sad emojis.

Comedian Lasisi Elenu also posted, “Father heal your children’s heart from this pain, strengthen them in such a dark and hurtful time oh Lord”.

Comedienne Helen Paul wrote: ”Painful. Never again. We reject it.  God, Please, restoration and healing.”

Rapper Stefflon simply wrote: ‘Pray for Chioma and Davido’.

May God give them the strength to bear this loss.
