BREAKING: Nollywood actor, Saint Obi is dead

Veteran Nollywood actor, Saint Obi, has passed on at the age of 57 after a protracted illness.

It was reported that he died on Monday after battling an undisclosed illness for several months.

Saint Obi is reported to have recently relocated to his sister’s home in Jos, the capital of the Plateau State, and has frequently been spotted being transported to the hospital. 

A source who spoke to blogger, Moji Delano revealed that the actor, who he had seen a couple of times and recognized as Saint Obi, had died on Sunday and that the following day, his body was taken to the morgue at JUTH. 

Obi who was one of Nollywood’s finest stars broke into the limelight in 1996, starring in over 60 films ever since.

His notable performances include roles in Candle Light, Sakobi, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, Festival of Fire, Executive Crime, and Last Party.

Although the details surrounding his illness remain undisclosed, it is evident that Saint Obi faced significant challenges throughout his battle. May his soul rest in Peace.
