Burna Boy says he will put his money on Nasty C over any American Rapper
Burna Boy has picked Nasty C, likewise place a bet on Nasty C above any other American Rapper.
The African Giant stated this during a recent interview with DJ WHOO KID. The interviewer asked Burna his opinion about how Americans tag all African music as Afrobeats. He disagreed with the tag and explained that not every African record is Afrobeat. According to Burna Boy, one can’t tag Nasty C’s music as Afrobeats because he’s from Africa.
“Yeah, everything is not afrobeat. Nasty C is a rapper. And because he’s from Africa now, you’re going to say Afrobeats? Nah, he’s a rapper. Brah, I’ll put my money on Nasty C over almost any American rapper. No Cap”, Burna said.
Earlier last year the South African rapper, hinted at a collaboration with Burnaboy when he responded to Burna Boy calling him his favorite rapper in an interview. “Love to the African Giant @burnaboygram ? treats on the way real soon ??#CoolestKidInAfrica x #AfricanGiant”.
Nasty C has made a huge and influential name for himself across international waters. Nasty is signed to a Def Jam, a label known as the home for stars like Kanye West. He has also made some notable collaborations with US artists. The young rapper has worked with Davido, French Montana, ASAP Ferg and T.I. Nasty also received an invite from another huge Nigerian artist, Davido, to submit a verse for one of his hit songs, Coolest Kid In Africa.
