Grammy award-winner, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna boy is set to release the video for his latest single ‘Whiskey’, which will be released in the form of a mini-documentary.
According to Burna Boy, the video which will be released in the form of a mini-documentary highlights the challenges of environmental degradation bedevilling the Niger Delta region due to oil exploration.
The documentary will focus on how oil extraction has caused the Niger Delta’s ecosystem to deteriorate, with the most recent issue being the region’s soot problem.
Tweeting a trailer for the documentary, Burna Boy says this will serve as an avenue for the people of Port Harcourt to tell their stories to the world.
“We let the people tell their stories – Whiskey mini-documentary out Thursday 7 pm,” he tweeted.
‘Whiskey’ is off Burna Boy’s sixth album, “Love, Damini” which was released in July 2022 to promote justice and equality in Nigeria.
