CKay reacts to the mockery against his latest US Billboard achievement

CKay has finally addressed the negative reactions on Twitter, against his song, ‘Love Nwantiti’ which was listed on the US Billboard.

Love Nwantiti by CKay was the first Afrobeats song to rank on the US Billboard Hot 100 without first charting on the Bubbling Under chart, and the response was mostly negative. The song also became a global smash after a TikTok challenge went viral and it was reported that the song has received 15 billion video views on Tiktok.

A few weeks ago, the song was at the top of Youtube’s Global Music Video Chart, until it was revealed that it ranked on the US Billboard Hot 100.

When CKay’s latest US Billboard Hot 100 milestone was revealed, the public’s reacted mostly negatively.

A Twitter user wrote, “How do you expect a song with 59 remixes to debut on Bubbling under hot100 after a year, that’s inorganic. Bubbling hot100 is like a possible prediction for possible debut on hot100”.

Reacting to this, CKay tweeted that he does not understand the hatred directed at him and that his accomplishments are for everyone and not just him.

CKay tweeted; “I will never understand the hate honestly. If I win, it’s a win not just for me but the entire culture. You can either see it that way or cry. Idgaf.”
