Cristiano Ronaldo strikes thrice as Manchester United bag narrow win

Cristiano Ronaldo was once again Manchester United’s saviour as his second hat-trick in three Premier League games, and his 60th in his career so far gave his side a narrow but much-needed win against relegation-threatened Norwich at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese Talisman put United in control of the game with two goals in the opening 32 minutes.

However, Ronaldo’s goals got cancelled through goals from Keiran Dowell before the break and Teemu Pukki after the break, no thanks to Manchester United’s now common defensive woes.

As pressure continued to mount, Dean Smith’s side looked more likely to grab a winner, however, it was Ronaldo who sent in a free-kick14 minute from stoppage time to secure victory and boost Manchester United’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League

United have a chance of moving level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur if they win at Liverpool on Tuesday.
