Cubana Chief Priest and Ubi Franklin Reportedly Exchange Blows in public

Reports have emerged of a physical altercation between Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest (Pascal Okechukwu) and music executive Ubi Franklin at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

 According to media personality Stella Dimoko Korkus (SDK), the two, both close associates of singer Davido, allegedly exchanged punches during a heated confrontation that required intervention from bystanders to separate them.

SDK suggested that the dispute may have stemmed from tensions over Ubi Franklin’s attempts to re-enter Davido’s inner circle, possibly to secure an invitation to Davido and Chioma’s upcoming white wedding in the United States this August. Cubana Chief Priest was reportedly opposed to Ubi’s involvement, leading to the confrontation.

In response to the circulating rumors, Ubi Franklin took to Instagram to dismiss the claims, stating that anyone who believed the story was a “fool.” He also shared a video featuring himself, Davido, and Cubana Chief Priest together on a flight to Abuja, seemingly indicating that relations among them remain amicable.

As of now, neither Davido nor Cubana Chief Priest has publicly addressed the incident.
