Nigerian on-air personality, Ifedayo Olarinde popularly known as Daddy Freeze has called out Nollywood actress, Sonia Ogiri over her demeaning remarks against Tiwa Savage’s sex tape controversy.
Tiwa caused a social media outburst after she revealed in a chat with American OAP, Angie Martinez that she was leaving a radio station when someone sent her a message and told her to check it immediately. She opened the message, only to find out that it was an explicit video she made with her current lover.
The mother of one stated that she sent it to her manager and asked him what they could do about it. Tiwa’s manager asked her how much the blackmailer was asking for. She didn’t disclose but instead insisted that she is not ready to part with her money as the blackmailer may continue to request more money if she sends the first one.
She said, “I’m not going to allow anyone to blackmail me for doing something natural.”
However, reacting to this, Nollywood Actress, Sonia Ogiri berated Tiwa’s actions stating that she shouldn’t, at her age and position as a mother record explicit tapes because there’s the tendency that it will become a tool for blackmailers. Not stopping there, she expressed her displeasure and disappointment in the mother of one.
Criticizing Tiwa, she wrote; “Dear @tiwasavage we love you, your songs and supported you all these years but this is unacceptable behavior from you. So many young girls looking up to you, seeing this story and how you defending your act as “Natural “ isn’t OKAY darling. Please don’t worry about your fans, worry about yourself and SON for tomorrow’s sake. Hope is not stunt cause only come, only go”.
Popular on-air personality, Daddy Freeze did not take Sonia’s criticisms likely so he called her out, ordering her to apologize to Tiwa before things end badly for her.
“Sonia, how dare you attack Tiwa, a woman at her point of pain and then proceed to judge her?? Apologize, before this clout you are chasing ends badly. Like I said earlier, you can’t use an expensive wig to cover an empty head.
If you don’t apologize and your own happens, social media won’t forget and they’ll mock you too,” he wrote.
Tiwa is not the first Nigerian celebrity to be blackmailed over nudes. In April 2020, media girl, Toke Makinwa, dared blackmailers who threatened to publish her nude pictures. Makinwa rather in a post on her Instagram page, released one of the photographs, with a long note addressed to her blackmailers.
