Dancer Korra Obidi Gives Birth to Baby Girl at Home, Shares Live Update
Multi-talented Nigerian dancer, Korra Obidi never failed in updating her fans on how she and her unborn baby have been faring since she became pregnant.
Before now, she revealed that she was due for delivery on 2/2/22 but had to wait some more days cause the baby wasn’t coming.
However, in a recent video she shared on her Facebook page, she excitedly revealed to her Facebook followers that she had gone into labor after her water got broken.
In the video she shared, she made it known that her baby will be delivered through water birth at home, considering her husband, Justin Dean is a doctor.
Through her delivery struggle, Korra showed an outstanding strength of an African woman.
In revealing her state of mind, Korra wrote, “The ultimate test of a human is when things don’t go their way or as planned. Man plans, God decides. At this juncture, I surrender”.
Her post forced her fans into prayer mode and as God will have it, she put to birth, a bouncing Baby Girl, Athena Dean.
Sharing the big announcement on Instagram, Korra’s sister, Nancy Umeh wrote;
“Counting down to when I get to hold Athena Dean in a few weeks. You are so blessed Korra Obidi, Justin Dean. Congratulations to you both. I am an aunty again. Can’t keep calm”.
Reacting to Nancy’s post, Korra Obidi revealed that she and her husband have welcomed their second child, Athena Dean.
She also disclosed that she had her baby through a “natural raw water birth.”
“Big sis 🥺 We did it. Natural raw water birth 🥺 I wish you were here 🥺🙆🏾♀️ I love you so much”. She wrote.
Korra also made a post after the delivery, which reads;
“Welcome the latest addition to the #Deanclan @athenadean_Follow her to see her face. Debuting 9am PST 3/2/22.It was an unmedicated natural water birth on Live Video Facebook by the amazing @thevitalwoman The most empowering experience was catching my baby in my hands. My family @drjustindean @junedean_ catching her and ushering her to the world. ”
Her husband, Justin said on Facebook,
“We are done. Baby Athena is perfect and she’s out. Water breaking and delivery was like two and half hours and it was really fast. Korra was a warrior. She powered through it. Athena was born face first and she has a little bruises on her face but other than that, we have a beautiful daughter. Korra is sleeping right now.”
