D’banj gifts two artistes N1m each at Felabration
D’banj, at the Felabration event held on Sunday night, greased the palms of two up-and-coming artistes with a cash gift of one million Naira each.
While performing on stage, the two artistes joined D’banj to showcase their craft. However, he was impressed by their performance and promised to gift them N1m each.
He also performed with the young lads who went into a frenzy on stage.
Reacting to the performance, Kaffy, who shared the stage with D’banj, took to her verified Instagram account to share videos and pictures of the event with the caption, “Felabration was a blast as I rocked the stage with the legendary @iambangalee for yet another night. I got nothing but love for you bro. We can never forget your impact in the industry going global. OG BEFORE IG !!!! @felabration.”
Felabration is an annual festival of music and arts that celebrates the lifetimes and legacy of the icon, Fela Anikulapo Kuti.
The week-long music festival with the theme Viva Nigeria, Viva Africa was held from October 11 to October 17 at the grand venue, Afrika Shrine in Ikeja. Other venues in Lagos include Freedom Park, Radisson Blu and Bature Brewery all located on the island.
Felabration 2021 in Abeokuta hosts from October 21 to 24 at the Kuti Heritage Museum at 15 Nepa Road, Abeokuta. Interestingly, the Abeokuta celebration of Fela has another theme titled ‘Buy Africa’.
Already musicians like Afowoslide and Abinibi Groovy Band and others have noted that they will be performing at the Abeokuta venue.
