Don Jazzy Reacts as Twitter warns him over copyright infringement

Twitter temporarily locked the account of record producer and CEO of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy due to alleged copyright infringement. 

Don Jazzy is renowned for his relatable social media persona, with which he engages with fans, post humorous content including collaborative skits with indigenous comedians and actors alike. It was on one of this promotional occasions that he had his account imminently suspended by Twitter.

In a post via Twitter, Donjazzy unveiled that artistes had asked him to promote their music on his page without first relating with their record labels on the request they made of him. This, he hinted, prompted Twitter to take it for a copyright case after the labels likely reported the development.

“All of you signed to major record labels, abeg talk to your labels before asking me to post your work o. Stop making Twitter and Instagram lock my account for copyright infringement I can’t shout. Messing up my Algo,” he tweeted.

In the photo that accompanied Don Jazzy’s tweet, he shared a warning from Twitter thus, “Your account is now available for use. Please be aware that any additional notices against your account may result in your account being locked again and potentially suspended. In order to avoid this, do not post any additional material in violation of our copyright policy and immediately remove any material from your account for which you are not authorized to post”.
