“Don’t Let Me Beat You Again” —Timaya Threatens Ubi Franklin

Nigerian musician Timaya has sent a stern warning to music executive, Ubi Franklin for offering his unwarranted opinion on Timaya’s issue.

Timaya had on March 22nd, issued a public statement regarding the alleged ‘hit and run’ he was accused of.

In the singer’s press release, he addressed the allegations made against him, narrating his account of what had occurred and his attempts to reach out to the victim. And ended the statement with an apology to the victim of the accident and her family, as well as his fans.

However, Ubi Franklin quoting Timaya’s tweet, offered his two cents, advising the singer that he should have first apologized and reached out to the victim’s family rather than speaking about it on Instagram live.

“Dear Timaya, as a senior man in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry, the first thing you would have done when you were accused was to apologize as you have just done and then call the victim’s family.

Your live video the other day showed you cared less about the situation. Thank U”, Ubi wrote.

Days after, Timaya acknowledging Franklin’s response, took to Twitter to issue a stern warning to the music executive.

“Ubi Franklin u remember the beating I gave u in January last year? Don’t let me beat u again and pls I like your new JOB. As Ifeanyi’s NANI and pls don’t mess it up. Davido is a good guy he can make ur life. Pls, focus on ur new JOB. Thanks,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, after an Instagram user, Osinubi Omowunmi called out Timaya for an alleged hit and run incident, Timaya denied hitting anyone and running away. According to him the lady whose sister made the accusation fell down while trying to hold his side mirror.

He said: “When she stopped my vehicle. she was like I hit her, I said how, she said at the back, next thing I saw four guys running down so me (sic) trying to move away, bro na so the woman hold the side mirror of my car, so that’s how she fell. Not like I hit her”.

Reacting, via his Twitter handle, Timaya simply wrote, “Me no get no bad Mind for Nobody”.

Now, his official statement on the incident has only countered his initial claims
