E-Money, Alexx Ekubo, Kanayo and Other Igbo Celebrities Turn up for Obi Cubana’s Mum’s Burial Ceremony

Top Nigerian Celebrities, especially the Igbo Celebrities have turned up for the nightlife entrepreneur, Obi Cubana’s mom’s burial at Oba, Anambra state.

The burial of Obi Cubana’s mother will undoubtedly leave a mark on the people of Anambra state as well as on social media. These celebrities have taken to social media pages to share footage and pictures, likewise their display of wealth from the lavish party. 

The videos show celebrities trooping in with different luxurious cars, and some in convoys. They showed their support to Obi Cubana with stacks of cash, expensive drinks, specifically, Louis XIII Rare Cask, which was the most expensive cognac valued at N4m in 2018, after they initially showed their support with about 246 cows for the event. 

Joining the celebrity guests for the ceremony is Nigerian singer, Kcee, and his brother, Emoney alongside Ubi Franklin, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Alex Ekubo, Williams Uchemba and others. Singer Orezi was also spotted in a photo with the businessman. 

Kcee on Instagram shared a video that captured their arrival after they touched down Anambra, and then their trip to Oba in a grand convoy which included tow bikers and a police van. 

Alexx shared a video on his Instagram page showing celebrities gathered at a table as they made jokes while having drinks. 

The public have however expressed worry over this lavish display of wealth, considering the insecurity in the country. Nigerian singer, Oritsefemi’s ex-manager, Kara has taken to social media to react to the lavish party. 

In Kara’s opinion, she revealed that the Igbo tribe in Nigeria is notorious for throwing awesome parties but 200 cows for a burial ceremony is over the top. She expressed worry over the effect the lavish display of wealth will have on youths who idolise this kind of lifestyle. She also prayed that less fortunate men will not pick up crime out of envy.
