English Premier League postpones all weekend games in honour of late Queen Elizabeth II

All English Premier League and English Football League fixtures for this weekend have been postponed, in honour of Queen Elizabeth II who passed on Thursday. 

Ten top flight EPL matches were billed for Saturday, Sunday and Monday, while EFL games were scheduled to hold on Friday and Saturday. 
The premier league’s Chief Executive said the league took the decision to honour the Queen’s extraordinary life and contribution to the nation. 
He noted that updates on fixtures during the period of mourning will be provided in due course.
The UK was thrown into mourning on Thursday, as Queen Elizabeth the second, the UK’s longest serving Monarch, died at the age of 96, after ruling for 70 years.
