EPL: Arsenal Left It Late Against West Ham

After winning the FA Cup and Community Shield and starting their season with a flourish by winning 3-0 at Fulham on the opening weekend, Arsenal were expected to have an easy ride against West Ham team who were beaten by Newcastle a week ago, but that was not to be the case.

Mikel Arteta’s men were everything but impressive last night when compared to their performance last week.

Frenchman, Alexandre Lacazette gave the London side the lead in the 25th minute.

After a series of missed chances, the hammers finally, deservingly found the back of the net at the brink of half time through Michail Antonio.

After the break, David Moyes’s men were all over Arsenal but failed to take their chances and were madeto rue those missed chances as Arsenal were clinical with their only clear sight of goal in the second-half with Eddie Nketiah scoring what would be the tie decider in the 85th minute.

The victory means the Gunners are now leveled with Everton and Crystal Palace on maximum points at the top of the table after two games.
