EPL: Harry Kane sets record as Tottenham defeat Man City
Harry Kane scored a record 267 goals to became Tottenham’s all-time record scorer, surpassing the great Jimmy Greaves, as Spurs defeated Man City.
The record breaking and only goal for the game came in the first half.
The 15th-minute finish was also Kane’s 200th on the Premier League stage – only Alan Shearer (260 goals) and Wayne Rooney (208) have scored more.
Tottenham got reduced to 10 man late on when defender Cristian Romero, was shown a second yellow, but the underwhelming City side couldn’t get anything out of the game.
The result means Arsenal are still five points at ahead of Pep Guardiola’s side, despite losing to Everton on Saturday, while Spurs are in fifth place, a point behind fourth place Newcastle.
