EPL: Liverpool, Everton share the spoils in fierce Merseyside derby
From a disallowed goal to woodwork an end to saves, the heavily contested 241st Merseyside Derby between Liverpool and Everton had almost everything but a winner, as the Neighbours settled for a barren draw.
After playing out a goal less first half, defender Conor Coady, who once played for Liverpool thought he had broken the deadlock, but his goal was eventually chalked off for offside after a VAR review.
Both sides had chances, but their respective goal keepers provided some top drawer performances to ensure that a point was spared for each team.
The result means Liverpool have recorded three draws in six games so far this season and are currently sixth on the log.
