EPL: Man City play out frustrating 1-1 draw against Aston Villa

Aston Villa picked up an all important point as they held Manchester City to a frustrating 1-1 draw in Saturday’s encounter against the defending champions. 

After playing out a goal less first half, City’s high flying new boy, Erling Haaland, broke the deadlock in the 50th minutes, to take his tally to an impressive 10 goals in six games, so far. 

24 minutes later, Leon Bailey struck home an equalizer, after City failed to take some other chances to increase their lead. 

City had to settle for a point, meaning they missed the opportunity to move to top of the Table, above Arsenal (who play Manchester United on Sunday), while the point has moved Steven Gerrard’s struggling side out of the relegation zone.
