EPL: Man Utd miss out on second place with draw against Crystal Palace

Manchester United missed out on the chance to move to second place on the Premier League table, as a very late screaming free kick, saw them draw against Crystal Palace.

Erik Ten Hag’s men were riding on a 1-0 lead thanks to Bruno Fernandes’ first half goal and headed for their 10th consecutive victory.

The visitors could have doubled the lead on various occasions before and after the break, but failed to take their chances and paid for it in stoppage time when Micheal Olise sent a stunning free kick past David de Gea who had earlier made some fine saves to keep the host at bay.

The result moved United to second levelled on points with city rivals, Manchester City, who take on Tottenham today.

Manchester United’s next game is against table leaders, Arsenal on Sunday in what promises to be a cracker.
