EPL: Manchester City see off resilient West Ham to extend the lead

Manchester City extended their winning streak to 14 in the EPL and 27 games in all completion. They moved 13 points clear at the Premier League’s top after seeing off a resilient West Ham United with a 2-1 victory at the Etihad.

Ruben Dias put the hosts in front just at the hour mark.

A hard fighting Fourth-placed West Ham pulled one back through Michail Antonio just before the break.

But Man City broke their resilience when Stones fired home his fourth goal of the season to strengthen his side’s control in the title race.

The victory also marked Pep’s 200th victory in 273 games in charge of City, and the Spaniard will be looking to stretch that as well as equal the club’s longest run with defeat (28 games) should they win against Wolves when they meet on Tuesday.
