EPL: Mohammed Salah’ Brace re-ignites Liverpool’s title defence, as Tottenham suffers defeat away to Brighton

Mohamed Salah ended a seven-game premier league goal drought with a double on Sunday to help Liverpool move up to third in the table.

Both goals came in the second half as the Reds failed to make good of their possession and dominated the first half.

Substitute Firmino set up Georginio Wijnaldum for the third goal before Craig Dawson got pulled back an 87th-minute consolation for West Ham. 

Liverpool’s second win in London in four days cut the gap to leaders Manchester City – who have a game in hand – to four points, and the two sides meet at Anfield on Sunday. But before Sunday’s cracker, Klopp’s men will play host to Brighton on Wednesday, while West Ham will travel to Aston Villa on Wednesday, too, before engaging in a London derby at Fulham on Saturday.

Brighton 1 -0 Tottenham

Brighton capitalized on a deal Tottenham side to grab their first home league win of the season and go seven points clear off the drop zone.

Leandro Trossard grabbed the game’s only goal 17 minutes into the game.

The Defeat means Jose Mourinho’s side remains sixth on the log, six points off the top four.

Brighton will travel to Liverpool on Wednesday for their next test, while

Tottenham will take on Chelsea in a London derby on Thursday.
