Chelsea’s coach, Thomas Tuchel, got his first victory at Chelsea with a 2-0 win against an unimpressive Burnley side.
The Blues skipper, Ceaser Azpilicueta, gave his side the lead with just five minutes left to half time.
After the break, Chelsea pressed on, and after some missed chances, Tuchel’s men got a deserved second in the 84th minute thanks to a Marcos Alonso volley.
With the victory, Chelsea has now registered a second successive clean sheet under Tuchel, whose first game was the midweek goalless draw with Wolves.
The three points moved Chelsea up three places to seventh in the table, while Burnley remain 15th on the log.
On Wednesday, Burnley will welcome league leaders Manchester City to Turf Moor, while Tottenham will take on Chelsea in a North London derby on Thursday.
