Erling Haaland win Premier League Player of the Season award in debut season

Manchester City forward, Erling Haaland has been named the 2022/2023 Premier League Player of the Season award, following an outstanding debut season.

The 22-year-old Norwegian who scored a record 36 goals in the EPL this season bested the like of Kevin de Bruyne, Bukayo Saka, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, his countryman, Martin Odegaard and others to clinch the prestigious accolade.

Haaland is the fourth Man City player to win the award, following Kevin De Bruyne, who won the award in 2019/20 and 2021/22, Ruben Dias, who clinched it in 2020/21, and Vincent Kompany, who was the first City player to win it in 2011/12.
