Europa League: Manchester United grab last gasp winner against Omonia

Manchester United had to dig very deep to get an all important win against Omonia Nicosia in their Europa League encounter at Old Trafford.

United were the better and dominant side but all their efforts to score were met by a defiant Omonia goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho.

The Nigerian international put forth an incredible performance, saving 11 out of 12 shots.

He was however unable to keep substitute, Scott McTominay’s stoppage time shot out.

The result leaves Erik Ten Hag’s side second in Group E with nine points, three behind leaders, Real Sociedad, who defeated third places Sheriff Tiraspol 3-0, while Omonia are bottom of the table without a point.

The Red Devils will take on Sheriff Tiraspol in their next Europa League game on October 27.

BODO/GLIMT 0 – 1 ARSENAL

Meanwhile Arsenal sealed a lone goal victory over BODO to maintain their position at the top of group A.

Bukayo Saka’s 24th minute goal was the difference.
