FA Cup; Abraham’s hat-trick fires Chelsea to Fifth round

Tammy Abraham put his name on the scoresheet not once but thrice to help Chelsea get past Championship side Luton and into the FA Cup’s fifth round.

Abraham picked a cross from Timo Werner and fired in what would turn out to be the first of three-goal just 10 minutes into the game.

He doubled the tally with a header 5 minutes this with an assist from Reece James.

Jordan Clark capitalized an error by keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to pull one back for the visitors in the 29th minute.

After the break, a still very goal-tasting Abraham poked home one more for the road in the 73rd minute to record his first hat trick at Stamford bridge.

The only downside to Chelsea’s game was Timo Werner missing a penalty in the 84th minute.

Despite the missed penalty, Frank Lampard will be glad for the victory, which will undoubtedly ease the pressure on him, at least for the time being.

Chelsea will now face Championship side Barnsley in the fifth round slated for February.
