FA Cup: Depleted Manchester City cruise past Swindon
A Covid-19 hit Manchester City showed no signs of depletion as they saw off Swindon in their FA Cup third-round tie.
Bernardo Silva gave City who were without a coach, Pep Guardiola and seven first-team players an early lead before Gabriel Jesus made it two before the break.
After the break, Ilkay Gundogan made it three with a stunning free-kick.
And though, Swindon’s goalkeeper saved Jesus penalty minutes later, as Harry McKirdy pulled a goal back for the hosts late on, it did nothing to deter the dominant visitors who increased the tally to four goals through young debutant, Palmer.
