Fast And Furious Star Vin Diesel Quits Movies For Music, Drops His Debut Single “Feel Like I Do”

Guess no one saw this coming from the award winning actor and furious star Vin Diesel, as he dives into the music industry, releasing his first debut single titled “feel like I do” featuring DJ Kygo. Indeed, Vin has proven that he’s not just a good actor but also an amazing singer.

Diesel in May 2015, paid tribute to his best friend Paul Walker, who he also considered as his brother, singing “habits” by Tove Lo’s, on his Facebook page, displaying pictures of him and Paul.

Vin who is best known for his action roles in movies like, Fast and Furious, Reddick, XXX and lots more, took everyone by surprise releasing his first song “feel like I do”, with his signature deep voice. Vin talks about what one feels when with someone they love. He sings, “I’m not the type who likes to rush in / but I want to, I don’t know you / but it feels like I do.”

The song was released under Palm Tree Records, and was written and produced by Peter Martin, Vin’s close collaborator who has also worked with DJ Kygo, whom Vin featured in his song “Feel like I do”.

In March 2020, Vin Diesel revealed, on James Corden’s Late Late Show, that he was recording an album of his original music. In his words, “I got to be honest with you, James, my kids love when I sing, and they love it so much”.

Vin’s debut single is surprising to many, this shows that if he wants to combine his love for music and movies, he actually can run both. Taking a look at his social media feeds, He has done lots of covers, singing to Sam Smith’s song “stay with me”, Lewis Capaldis’s “someone you love” etc.

Even at the 2015 MTV movies awards, while presenting the awards for best female performance, Vin took a moment before announcing the winner to sing his own version of Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puths “see you again” to his late friend Paul Walker.
