Fireboy DML Joins Boomplay’s Golden Club with 100 Million Streams

Afrobeat star, Fireboy DML has joined the likes of Burnaboy and Olamide in Boomplay’s Golden Club with over 100 million streams on the platform.

Fireboy’s 2019 debut album, ‘Laughter, tears and goosebumps’ is his most streamed work with 58 million streams. In 2020, the Afropop sensation released his sophomore album Apollo, which gathered over 57 million streams on Boomplay by 2021 pivoting Fireboy into the platform’s Golden Club. 

Also, his most recent single, ‘Peru’ is leading as his most-streamed single with 14.9 million streams. ‘Peru’ also made Apple Music Top Songs of 2021.

The Afrobeat Golden boy recently announced a 2022 tour, his first U.S. headlining tour. The Apollo Tour, named after his 2020 album Apollo, takes place in February, beginning in Providence, Rhode Island and ending in Seattle, Washington
